A few questions we think you might ask, and answers
What is "The Bargain Place"?
It is an extension of the highly enjoyable car boot sales that we do. In the winter the boot sales are either not on, or it is just too cold, so this is our "winter" boot sale, although it will run all year round.
How "Free" is the local delivery?
Totally, the prices here would normally be the same as we offer at the boot sale. Some "specials" may only be available on line.
What if I order something, pay for it and you don't have it.
Simple, we NEVER take YOUR money from OUR PayPal account until we are sure we have the item you have ordered. If for some reason we can't supply it you get you money back, including all the PayPal fees, so it costs you NOTHING!
Do you offer an installation service, either free or chargeable?
No, that said if you have a problem with an item purchased from us we may come around to you if we can't help you over the telephone.
Can I see before I buy?
Only at the boot sales and then only on stock lines that we have at the time. If you order something and we deliver it we would expect you to pay us and let us get on our way without delay. Of course you are welcome to remove something from the box just to make sure it does not just contain a few bricks before handing over your hard earned cash, but when you place an order we do consider it sold.
What about refunds?
If you buy something from us and it does not work straightaway then you are entitled, by law, to a refund. Obviously we would prefer to just exchange it for you. Other refunds would be considered, but at our discretion only.
If I want several things can I negotiate a discount?
You can ask, but it is unlikely! Please note we do NOT wholesale AT ALL. If you can buy from us at these prices and sell to your friends for a few pounds extra that is fine, and nothing to do with us. You can NOT have more than SIX of any one item at any one time.
Why will you not wholesale?
Simple. We have an excellent working relationship with our supplier. Part of that is because we return very few items. Were we to start selling wholesale then by the law of averages return rates would increase and this could jeopardize that relationship, we have good technical knowledge and can therefore resolve problems, generally over the telephone. "You" may not and therefore we get back goods that are supposedly faulty which are not. We would have no option but to believe you and return them to our supplier......
Furthermore we work on very low margins, therefore the price would be more or less the same, so that then insults you when you ask for a discount for 50!!

Can I ask about something that is not listed?
Certainly you can. However we have a maximum selling price of about £200.00, so if you think the item you want is likely to have a high street selling price of £300 or more (we tend to be about half high street prices) then I doubt we would supply it.
Is there anything you don't sell (in the domestic electrical goods field).
Yes, and here are the reasons!
Satellite equipment: - Self installed Satellite tends to be a recipe for disaster
Large screen TV's: - A BIG headache if they go wrong, getting it back, unmarked and exchanged or repaired.
Plasma/LCD large screen: - For much the same reasons as above, but equally too expensive!
We do not do "white goods" (washing machines, microwaves etc)

I have come across this site by chance, can I buy an item and have it delivered to me by courier as I am outside of you delivery area?
Carriage is generally £8.00 on most items, once you add that, because we are selling generally "cheaper" items this makes quite a dent in any savings, so it is not worth it. But you can always try asking?
